one foot on the dock, one foot on the boat drifting from the dock..that stretch of body and mind continued over months as we neared our deadline to throw the lines and head to sea. chaos as we purged storage units, and house and garage... chaos as we blew out port lights and hatches, gutted old wires and pulled new, sole plates up to find near placement to core boat systems. for me, the dust and swirl were proving to be good practice in patience and pivots.
